Message from the Chairman of the Organising Committee
Dear Friends,
On behalf of the Singapore Society of Nephrology,
I extend a very warm welcome to all faculty and delegates to the 18th Asian Colloquium of Nephrology.
The Asian Colloquium meeting, first conceived in the 1970’s had its first meeting in Singapore in 1974. After many years, it has come home once again to a new audience. It is also fitting that this year 2019 is also Singapore Bicentennial celebration of the founding of Singapore in 1819 and much of early Singapore is on display. We are also still in the midst of the annual Singapore Sale where bargains are to be hunted down.
At the conference, the two tracks of Medical and Allied Health sciences complement each other and showcases the value we place on one another in the integrated case of the nephrology patient.
We hope that this meeting will continue to foster further friendship amongst the nephrology community whether you are from the medical or allied health disciplines to allow us to better care for our patients.
I would like to thank my committee comprising busy clinicians and allied health professionals from private and public institutions, the sponsors for providing their support to enable us to bring international faculty, all the faculty for their time in preparing their material for presentation and delegates who sent in posters and presented at the free communications.
Please have a good time connecting and continue to produce good science in the field of nephrology.
Yours sincerely,
Dr Lina Choong Hui Lin
Chairman, Organising Committee
